National Grid fundraise to help Round Oak School save Music of Life Programme


Variety show taking place to raise money to save Music of Life programme at Round Oak School, Warwick. Tickets on sale at Bridge House Theatre box office

Pupils from Round Oak School, Warwick, will be performing in a variety show that is taking place to enable their Music of Life programme to continue.

The variety show has been organised by staff from National Grid’s choir, Gridtones, to help raise money to continue funding the programme. Round Oak choir, the Gridtones and other National Grid acts will be performing on 18th May at 18.30pm at the Bridge House Theatre, Warwick.

Round Oak are a special education school and one of National Grid’s Employability Partner schools. The Music of Life programme provides numerous mental health and wellbeing benefits to the pupils.

Gerarda Berger-Byrne from Round Oak School said: “Our pupils really enjoy the Music of Life Programme and it makes a great difference to the pupils and teachers alike. We are looking forward to performing at the variety show and we are already practicing. The money raised will enable the school to continue their music programme which would mean a great deal to staff, pupils and their families.”
